Two words

My whole life just came unglued
Not that there was much holding
It together in the first place
Two words
The truth only hurts when it
Rips away crutchlike false stories
And the light burns the cave dweller
In glory
Parking spaces fill at my approach
The coconut butter I was eating
Thrown away
Dry leaf on the wind blown about
Subject to currents and snags
A cork on the wave, aimless
Cast adrift
Picked up processed and sold by an agency
Not into slavery but by some stroke of luck
Into joy
That I denied, convinced of my unworthiness
But no secret unlawfully revealed, no,
Nor even basic social humanity
