Hart and Hind

The hart stands in love, calmly browsing
stock-still, and at peace
when we go steaming by
fuming along the forest road
absorbed in ego, unaware, oblivious.
his response of no-response, is pure,
powerful and full of love
we go, blind in our blundering
and are surprised when faced
with his sudden-seeming appearance

he sacrificed his whole world
to crack my ego eggshell
he ran beside me on broken legs
pleading to me in his eyes
to let go of my armor
and let love flow
