It’s so hard to find my words
In the vast empty tundra of the Now
My child pulls at my leg, afraid
Desperate to leave, hiding his face
But here are the frozen seeds
This is the work I don’t want to do
But so need the fruits of
And it is the breath of my effort
That can warm the precious seed
