Gail vs. the Burger

I sat and watched, shocked, in awe
The only was it could’ve been worse (read: better)
Is if it was almost raw

Carnivorous Sustenance
Noble savage, visceral hunger
So carnal savage real
Hunter ravaged Devoured meal
This was the tigress
Sinking her canines into gazelle hams

Her civilization fell away
Head down nostrils flared
Fingers grabbing flanks

Only when there was not a scrap left
For jackal-dogs nor buzzard-birds
Her craving lust desire filled
Me sweating, scared, and secretly thrilled
She wiped her paws on the napkins there
And her Calm and grace returned
