Deep in the winters dark, the mist comes rolling down the vale. Neighbors chimney smoking, they heat their house with it. The Dogs have been fed, and the chickens closed up in their roost. The river gently murmuring. The soup pot on the stove simmering down. Candles lit, and a hot bath drawn. This doesn’t happen every night, but when it does it’s a good one.
