But us

We already know where you were

On the night of the 15th

And what you wore.

And who you talked to.

That letter you wrote?

The printer left it’s marks too

Make, model, serial number

And the date and time too

Encoded in yellow dot patterns.

Credit card transactions join the fray

Everything you ever looked up

Supermarkets too. We know about

Your hemorroid problem too.

Every phone call, but we aren’t

Interested in those. Much.

Yet. But we have that too.

Fear not, friend. We won’t tell your husband

About that guy you’ve been meeting.

We will keep you safe from everything

But us

  1. There is a part in the movie, Ready Player One, where a person has their own museum that people can visit. It has their entire life captured in video, where you can stand in front of it, like watching a youtube, ff, rewind, pause, etc. I foresee a day when each of us will have our own museleum. When they put us all in Matrix-like pods, we have to have something to play that fools us into thinking we are living a life. I’d rather Gaia just shrugged us off and we would be done.

  2. I just wonder how we’re fucking with big data and machine intelligence with these poems. Feeding fishes into the throughputs. What does the Eye see when it vowels the eye staring back in this poem? Can AI develop hemorrhoids?
