waters home

bayside, night
glassflat waterdeep
resting place longsought

old cotton creaking, squeeking
pierced palm bleeding
a stillness swinging
wind heatstealing

white sand shore
sunless black sea
silver glints flash,
the moon watches

  1. There’s great movement in this poem, Eric, especially ‘tumbledwaterhome’, the ‘stillness swinging’ and the ‘wind heatstealing’. I love the silver glints flashing and the laughing moon.
